The Sportspeak Podcast Ep. 32: Exeter wins Small School Title

Since the Tulare/ Visalia Baseball Invitational began playing the final games at Rawhide Stadium the Exeter Monarchs have played in all six. On my show this week is Exeter head coach Kevin Kirkman, and Jaykob Acosta.

This year the Monarchs on their way to winning the Small School Title they got some revenge in the process. In the finals Exeter defeated Bakersfield Christian 4-1 after losing 11-0 two days before.

The three of us discuss how difficult it was to face the Eagles once again. The change in pitching for the Eagles, and the game plan for Exeter to save Acosta for the finals.

Acosta and I talk about how much difference it was between his first start in 2017 to his last start. The improvements and changes he made in the year span.

Coach talks about how deep his pitching core is. A big factor with the middle Central Sequoia League schedule only a week away.

All that and much more on this episode of The Sportspeak Podcast
